14 Escape Death, Driver Injured As Bus Catches Fire On Onitsha Bridge
Something like 14 travelers barely got away from death while the driver supported a minor injury when a business transport disintegrated along the Old Niger Extension in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The vehicle, a Toyota Hiace transport, was supposed to head Asaba, Delta State when it out of nowhere up to speed on fire in the extension on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
An onlooker and dealer nearby, who recognized himself as Obiora Uzor, said the travelers had figured out how to leap out of the transport before the fire at long last overwhelmed the entire vehicle, adding that the driver supported consumes as the fire began from the front of the vehicle.

The Media and Exposure Unit of the Anambra State Fire Administration, affirmed the occurrence, in a proclamation on Thursday.
“The Anambra State Fire Administration on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, got a pain alert at 0930 hours detailing of a vehicle (transport) inundated by fire along the Scaffold head, Onitsha,” he said.
“A team of fire fighters and firefighting gear were promptly conveyed to the salvage. They quenched the fire and guaranteed that it didn’t influence different vehicles that were handling the scaffold.
“The reason for the occurrence is obscure. No life was lost. The general population was encouraged to caution the fire administration in time at whatever point there is a fire occurrence and to introduce fire dousers in their vehicles. Keep in mind, fire kills yet, we can forestall it.”
