74 homeless persons arrested as Lagos state environmental taskforce raids under bridges in the state (video)
Seventy- 4 men and women which includes homeless humans were arrested via way of means of guys of the Lagos State Environmental Taskforce raided a few elements of Lagos Island these days May 5.
The nation Commission for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, shared a video displaying the arrests of a few men and women which includes an aged guy who takes refuge beneathneath one of the bridges.
Wahab cited that they’ll be arraigned in courtroom docket soon.
He wrote
“Earlier these days at approximately 1a.m, Tuesday, sixth May, 2025 the Lagos State Environmental Taskforce crew launched into its traditional easy up enforcement operation round Lekki axis in Lagos Island.
The regions visited in the course of the operation includes; Falomo bridge, Eko Hotel roundabout, Oniru Beach, Law School, Lekki Phase 1&2 and 1004 regions in which the presence of a few unwanted factors become noticed.
During the raid exercise, a complete variety of seventy four people had been arrested; seventy two male and a pair of female, and sanity become restored in all of the regions .
All the Suspects can be charged to courtroom docket accordingly.”
