FCT scavengers, beggars sue Nyesom Wike for N500m over arrests
Foragers, bums, negligible brokers and other weak individuals dwelling in the Government Capital Domain, Abuja, have documented a claim against the Pastor, Nyesom Wike, over supposed break of their key privileges.
A legitimate professional, Abba Hikima, recorded the suit stamped: FHC/ABJ/CS/1749/3024 preceding Equity James Omotosho of a Government High Court in Abuja for the benefit of the weak occupants. The weak people are requesting N500 million in punitive fees
The candidate sued Wike close by the Auditor General (I-G) of Police; Chief General, Branch of State Administrations (DSS) and Nigeria Security and Common Protection Corps (NSCDC) as first to fourth respondents. The legal advisor likewise joined the Principal legal officer of the Organization (AGF) and the National Legislature of Nigeria as fifth to 6th respondents individually. He is appealing to God for a request granting the amount of N500 million as broad and commendable harms for the infringement of the principal freedoms of the impacted residents.
He supplicated the court to proclaim that “the erratic capture, confinement without charges, provocation and blackmail of destitute people, foragers, negligible merchants, hobos and other weak Nigerians occupant in the FCT, comprise an infringement of their basic privileges.
The freedoms, they said, are ensured under Segments 34, 35, 41 and 42 of the Constitution of Nigeria 1999 (as modified).”
“A statement that the treatment of weak residents, including verbal badgering, actual dangers, coercion, and confinement without charge, is unfeeling and debasing treatment in opposition to Segment 34 of the 1999 Constitution (as revised).
A statement that Nigerians no matter what their financial status, spot, birth or appearance, have the freedom to move openly in the FCT, Abuja including the freedom to rest on open streets without let, consent or block at all as per the soul and reason for Segments 35, 41 and 42 of the Constitution.”
