Corps member cries out as residents lock well due to water shortage, misses PPA
A youth corps member has lamented his inability to report to his Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) after failing to access water for a bath. According to him, residents of the community locked their well, believing the water inside was limited.
In a post shared on his page via the popular social media platform X, formerly Twitter, he revealed the name of the state where the incident occurred.
He explained that the residents decided to secure their well out of fear that the water supply might run out.
As a result, he was unable to fetch water for his morning routine and had to miss work at his PPA.
He wrote: “I couldn’t bathe, so I didn’t go to my PPA today. I woke up and everyone locked their konga (well) because they feel like the water inside is limited. Chai. Wetin I never see for Yoruba Land? Me wey get my own river for Bayelsa.”
His post sparked reactions from concerned individuals, who took to the comment section to share their thoughts.
