The Public Mosque, Abuja, has selected Prof. Ilyas Usman as Imam.

Usman, who is the primary Teacher of Arabic in Igboland, has joined the positions of the three existing Imams of the Public Mosque.

He will currently uphold the two dynamic Imams, Prof. Ibrahim Makari and Prof. Muhammad Kabir, in the rotational direct of the Juma’ah and day to day congregational supplications while the fourth Imam, Sheik Ahmad Onilewura from the Southwest Nigeria, who has not been driving petitions for quite a while in light of the fact that he is incapacitated.
