CBN reduces interest rate to 27%
The Central bank of Nigeria (CBN) has reduced its benchmark hobby charge from 27.5 percent to 27 percent, marking the first adjustment of the 12 months.

CBN Governor, Olayemi Cardoso, introduced the selection on Tuesday, September 23, at a press briefing in Abuja, following the conclusion of the financial policy Committee’s (MPC) 302nd assembly.
Cardoso defined that the interest price discount was once part of the apex financial institution’s efforts to “stability inflationary pressures with the want to stimulate monetary increase.”
“This adjustment reflects the Committee’s assessment of modern-day financial realities and its resolve to offer balance even as growing room for sustainable growth” he said
The MPC’s choice was expected to have ripple outcomes throughout Nigeria’s economic markets, influencing borrowing prices, funding flows and customer demand.
