Independence anniversary: FG declares Oct 1 public holiday
The Federal government has declared Wednesday, 1st October, 2025 as public holiday to commemorate Nigeria’s sixty fifth Independence Anniversary.
The Minister of interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal authorities.
In a announcement signed by means of the permanent Secretary within the ministry, Dr Magdalene Ajani, the Minister congratulated all Nigerians both at home and inside the diaspora at the occasion.
He enjoined residents to hold to uphold the patriotic spirit, harmony, and resilience which have sustained the kingdom considering independence in 1960.
He wished Nigerians a happy and remarkable 2025 Independence Day birthday party.
