U-17 WWC: Flamingos Lose 2-0 To USA In Quarter-finals
Nigeria’s Flamingos have crashed out of the FIFA U-17 ladies’ Reality Cup in Dominican Republic, in the wake of losing 2-0 to the USA In the quarter-finals on Saturday.
Objectives in every half from Kennedy Fuller and Kimmie Ascanio got the success for the Americans.
Fuller gave USA the lead with two minutes left in the principal half before Ascanio added the subsequent objective.
The success for the Americans was a vengeance for their ouster against the Flamingos at this equivalent stage in the 2022 release in India.
The Flamingos stunned the Americans as they edged them on punishment shootout to arrive at the semi-finals and proceed to complete third.
In the gathering stage, the Nigerian group completed top after wins against New Zealand, Ecuador and Dominican Republic.
For the USA, they lost 3-1 to champions Spain however won their second and third games to advance into the quarter-finals.
