AFCON 2021: Gbajabiamila Leads FG’s Delegation To Cameroon

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, will lead the central government’s appointment to Yaounde, Cameroon, for the 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) planned to hold from January 9 to February 6, 2022.

His arrangement to lead the Nigerian unexpected was passed on in a letter endorsed by the Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Sunday Dare, dated January 6, 2022.

It peruses to some degree: “It is my honor to pass on the endorsement of His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, of your arrangement as head of the central government appointment.

“The designation will pass on the generosity message of Mr President to the Super Eagles of Nigeria, which will fill in as a spirit promoter and further show the central government’s backing and obligation to the group during the competition.

“The gathering stage matches of the Super Eagles have been booked to occur in Garoua, Cameroon, where Nigeria has been attracted to play in Group D close by Egypt, Sudan, Guinea-Bissau on January 11, 15 and 19, 2022, individually.”

The 2021 AFCON title to be facilitated by Cameroon is the 33rd version.
