Bollywood legend, Dharmendra, dies at 89
Veteran Bollywood icon Dharmendra has surpassed away at the age of 89 after a short illness.
The 89-year-vintage actor, who have been inside and outside of South Mumbai’s Breach sweet health center for several days, died on Monday, November 24, 2025.
Indian top Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the actor, pronouncing his passing “marks the end of an generation in Indian cinema”.

Dharmendra is known for his memorable performances in films along with ‘Ayee Milan Ki Bela’, ‘Phool Aur Patthar’, ‘Aaye Din Bahar Ke’, ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’, ‘Raja Jani’, ‘Jugnu’, ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’, ‘Dost’, ‘Sholay’, ‘Pratiggya’, ‘Charas’, ‘Dharam Veer’, among others.
In 2023, he was visible in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, directed by using Karan Johar.
Dharmendra is survived by his other halves Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini, and his six babies – Sunny, Bobby, Vijeta, Ajeeta, Esha and Ahana.
