Court Rejects Yahaya Bello’s Bail Application
Equity Maryanne Anenih of the Great Court of FCT has wouldn’t give the previous legislative leader of Kogi state Yahaya Bello bail.
Administering on the bail application contended on the 27th November 2024, the court held that the application for bail was untimely having been recorded on the 22nd of November before his arraignment on the 27th.
She said the activity was against segment 158 of the organization of law enforcement Act 2015 which expresses that application for bail can be recorded after capture, arraignment or during knowing about a suit.
Yet, for this situation the application was documented even before the litigant gave himself over to the Counter unite organization and his arraignment.
He thusly excused the application completely.
