Dangote Refinery Seeks To Amend Suit Challenging NNPC’s Import Licences
The Dangote Petrol Treatment facility has tried to revise its suit against the Nigerian Public Petrol Organization (NNPC) Restricted and different respondents.
The supplication to change the suit followed an application by the NNPC under the watchful eye of Inyang Ekwo, managing judge at the government high court in Abuja, encouraging the court to strike out the case.
In a movement on notice, dated November 25 and recorded November 28 by Ogwu Onoja, the oil organization’s legal counselor, looked for a request, conceding pass on to the organization to correct its beginning calls as per the principles of the court.
As per NAN, the treatment facility said it would empower it to address the name of the second litigant to peruse “Nigerian Public Petrol Organization Restricted,” rather than “Nigeria Public Petrol Partnership Restricted (NNPC)” prior recorded.
In his sworn statement supporting the movement, Vincent Sani, a prosecution representative at the Onoja law office, said he was educated by one regarding the legal counselors, Honest Adoo, on November 25 that after the recording of the beginning cycles in the suit, he saw that the second respondent’s name was wrongly spelt, thus, the requirement for the correction.

The NNPC had asked a government high court in Abuja to strike out a suit documented by Dangote processing plant, looking for the withdrawal of its import permit.
The organization contended that the Nigeria Public Petrol Company Restricted (NNPC) sued by the processing plant was a non-existent element.
Three oil advertisers had petitioned a government high court in Abuja to excuse the suit documented by Dangote processing plant, looking for withdrawal of the merchants’ licenses.
The advertisers were AYM Shafa Restricted, A. A. Rano Restricted, and Grid Petrol Administrations Restricted.

The organization had supplicated the court to pronounce that the Nigeria Halfway and Downstream Petrol Administrative Power (NMDPRA) was disregarding Segments 317(
also (9) of the Petrol Business Act (PIA) by giving licenses for oil based commodities importation.
Ekwo had fixed January 20, 2025, for the report of settlement or administration.
