The Edo kingdom authorities has given former deputy governor Godwin Omobayo a one-week ultimatum to return all authorities assets and property still in his possession.

Omobayo was once sworn in on April 8, 2024, via chief judge Daniel Okungbowa after being nominated by means of former Governor Godwin Obaseki, following a fallout with then–deputy governor Phillip Shaibu. but, Shaibu was later reinstated by using the state residence of assembly, rendering Omobayo’s quick tenure illegitimate.
