EFCC operatives are terrorists – SAN Olisa Agbakoba
Senior Backer of Nigeria (SAN), Olisa Agbakoba, has marked the Monetary and Monetary Violations Commission (EFCC) as a “psychological oppressor association,” blaming them for mishandling their powers to impart dread among Nigerians.
Talking on Emerge television’s Morning Show on Friday, Agbakoba communicated worry over the office’s lead and its covering liabilities with other policing.
Agbakoba required a reassessment of the EFCC’s job, bringing up the disarray among it and different organizations, for example, the Exceptional Extortion Unit and the Free Bad Practices Commission (ICPC).
“For what reason do we have the EFCC, Exceptional Extortion Unit, and ICPC all doing likewise, yet they are not getting anyone?” he addressed.
While recognizing a portion of the EFCC’s accomplishments, Agbakoba likewise censured its treatment of conspicuous cases, including the treatment of previous police authorities.
“Indeed, even Tarfa, as rebel as he was, being hauled – was that right?” he asked, proposing that their strategies reflect misguided thinking. “In a normal society, do you bring a previous Monitor General of Police and drag him? There’s something off about that.”
Agbakoba’s most sincere judgment of the EFCC was his portrayal of their methodology: “These folks are fear based oppressors. In my view, they threaten us. They utilize their strength, in their red coats, to threaten us so that when you hear EFCC, you become frightened. That is not the thing a policing ought to be.”
He encouraged the Public Gathering to explain the EFCC’s job and called for changes to guarantee the organization capabilities as planned.
