Fake soldier arrested for fraud in Abuja
Agents of the Government Capital Domain (FCT) Police Order have captured one Emmanuel Linus and Moses Daniel, for imitating a Nigerian Armed force official.
The FCT Magistrate of Police, Tunji Disu, revealed this to newsmen while marching criminal suspects at the Order’s Central command in Garki 11, Abuja on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
As per the CP, the suspect was captured on November 30, 2024, around 2:00 p.m., wearing full Nigerian Armed force cover uniform.
During the underlying cross examination, Linus introduced a phony military ID card that recorded December 20, 2024, as his date of birth, raising quick doubts.
Further knowledge accumulated while he was in guardianship uncovered that Linus is supposedly an individual from a lawbreaker organization having some expertise in cheating clueless casualties.
“The gathering apparently buys labor and products utilizing counterfeit bank cautions to beguile merchants,” the CP said.
“The police have started an exhaustive examination concerning the matter, with endeavors continuous to distinguish and capture different individuals from the organization.
“Specialists have guaranteed the public that extra updates will be given as examinations progress.”
