Fresher goes on knees to propose to girlfriend during matriculation
A fresher at a Nigerian university has captured attention online after proposing to his girlfriend during their matriculation ceremony.
The romantic moment was shared in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, where the newly admitted students could be seen hugging and kissing after the proposal.
The video began with the young man walking towards a decorated area on the field.
He knelt down, pulled out a flower and what appeared to be a ring from his bag, and presented them to his girlfriend.
As the scene unfolded, fellow students could be heard chanting, “Say yes, say yes,” encouraging the lady to accept.
After a brief moment, the lady walked up to him, accepted the flower, and they embraced and kissed, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.
