Hisbah destroys 170 bottles of alcohol worth N450,000 in Yobe
The Yobe State Hisbah Board has annihilated more than 170 jugs of liquor worth N450,000 in the state.
As per Everyday Trust, the jugs were seized at one of the lodgings in Gashua town, the central command of Bade Neighborhood Government Region.
The Director of Bade LGA, Ibrahim Babagana Yurema, who drove the obliteration, said the board would flush out merchants, brokers and customers of liquor nearby.
He said the containers were seized during a Hisbah watch at one of the notable lodgings in Gashua, saying the gathering is worried about inebriation and utilization of liquor among the overflowing young people.
Yurema expressed utilization of liquor and different intoxicants that contorted the psychological capacity of an individual was illegal in Islam, demanding that the board would keep on battling the unethical demonstration.
The Yobe North Zonal Commandant of Hisbah Board, Malam Isah Ibrahim, said the Sharia Court in the state had viewed the merchant of the liquor to be unquestionablyliable and sent him to jail, adding that the court likewise requested Hisbah to annihilate the seized whisky.
