Wike made this attestation while explaining on his explanations behind not supporting the nomination of previous People groups Leftist faction (PDP) official applicant Atiku Abubakar during the 2023 political race.

“The President knows. I never talked with the President quickly, and say look, “I’ll go to APC”, I never let anyone know that, and no one ought to feel that I’m worried about the possibility that that to join APC, I can’t join APC.

“The fact that I’ll fear makes who that individual? Who is that individual in PDP?”
