Jose Peseiro credits Atalanta Coach Gasperini for CAF player of the year Ademola Lookman’s Impressive Form
Previous Super Birds lead trainer Jose Peseiro has adulated Atalanta administrator Gian Piero Gasperini, saying he is answerable for Ademola Lookman’s amazing structure.
Lookman has been in phenomenal structure for both club and country this year .
The 27-year-old was one of the top entertainers for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Countries prior in the year and contributed massively to Atalanta’s UEFA Europa Association achievement, scoring a full go-around in the last triumph over Bayer Leverkusen.
Having worked with Lookman in the past during his time at the Super Birds, Peseiro credits his mentor at Atalanta for the player’s ascent.
“I think giving Lookman the opportunity to move around has permitted him to show his quality, both as far as direction and execution,”Peseiro told Sportitalia.
” obviously the club and Gasperini have furnished Lookman with the climate to develop as a player in all viewpoints.”
“I believe Lookman’s triumph is merited given his exhibitions both for Atalanta, his club, and for his nation, Nigeria,” he added.
Lookman was delegated Africa’s Best Player at the 2024 CAF Grants in Marrakech, Morocco on Monday night.
