Lady quits church over usher’s ‘you’ve added weight’ comment
A youthful Nigerian woman who had deserted church for some time communicates dissatisfaction following an obtuse weight remark from an attendant in the wake of choosing to go to chapel once more.
A TikTok client, @deborahsjourney, shared her experience of leaving her congregation after a remark from the head usher. In a video, she made sense of how the remark set off her choice.
“If you don’t watch out, you will simply surrender. I just got to chapel and the head usher is saying, ‘Welcome, you have added weight,'” she said.
She communicated dissatisfaction, adding, “To that end I have not been going church for quite a while on the grounds that there is somebody continuously remarking on someone’s weight. Presently, today I chose to come to chapel, na my weight una dey remark on. I simply need to serve God in harmony and fail to remember that I am on a weight reduction venture.”
