Man films heartstopping moment he and fellow travellers were attacked by kidnappers in Enugu and their subsequent rescue by the police

The heart-stopping moment alleged “Fulani” kidnappers waylaid travellers in Enugu was captured by one of the travellers.

In a video shared online, travellers are seen lying in the middle of the road. Some are heard breathing heavily in fear.

One woman screams in a panicked voice, “Stay in the car. Go and lie down flat.”

“Currently facing kidnappers,” the video caption read.

Another video shows travellers lying down dangerously close to the tyres of a truck while the suspected kidnappers approached a bus and its occupants.

The explorers were ultimately saved by the police.

The one who shot the episode gave the update, stating: “We have been recovered from the Fulani folks and with the police now. Area Orji Stream, Enugu State.”
