Missing final year Kwara student found dismembered in home of Islamic cleric she met on Facebook
An Islamic minister in Ilorin, Abdulrahman Mohad Ballo, has been captured for supposedly k!lling a last year understudy of Kwara State School of Training, Lawal Hafsoh Yetunde, for ceremonial purposes.
The suspect purportedly tricked Yetunde subsequent to associating with her on Facebook and getting her telephone number.
As per reports, the suspect dismantled her body for supposed ceremonial purposes after the grim k!lling.
The Kwara State Police Order, which affirmed the episode, expressed that the suspect had been captured.
Yetunde, a last year understudy of Kwara State School of Instruction, Ilorin, was most recently seen on Monday, February 10, 2025, while going to a naming function. She got a call from a companion, moved to one side to reply, and afterward left.
“From that point forward, we’ve been looking for her all over the place, yet nobody knew her whereabouts,” a source said.
By Tuesday, Feb. 11, her family revealed her missing at Oja-Oba Police headquarters, Ilorin. The police utilized her telephone number to follow her last call, which drove them to a suspect living in the Offa Carport locale area of Ilorin.
The suspect was captured yet at first denied knowing her whereabouts.
Notwithstanding, during a pursuit of his home, he admitted that she had visited him and purportedly d!ed of an asthma assault.
Upon additional examination, police found Yetunde’s dissected body, concealed in a bowl, alongside gear utilized for the demonstration.

The Kwara State Police Order, through its Advertising Official (PPRO), Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, affirmed the occurrence, expressing: “The Kwara State Police Order knows about the grim killing of one Miss Yetunde H. Lawal. On February 11, 2025, at around 1800 hours, an instance of a missing individual was accounted for at C Division Oja-Oba by her dad, Mr. Ibrahim A. Lawal.
“Right away, investigators took care of business, followed her number, and captured a suspect. Shows were recuperated, and the case has been moved to the State Criminal Examination Office (SCID) for additional examination.
“Further updates will be imparted as the examination advances.”
In the interim, Nigerians have gone to the Facebook record of the minister, where he used to share strict messages, to get down on him.
