Owoade succeeds the forty fifth Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, who died on April 22, 2022, on the age of 83.

Today’s event also signalled the beginning of a new era for the sons and daughters of Oyo Town, the state and the entire Yoruba race home and abroad
