Photographer laments as police arrest him for taking photos, demand ₦100k bail with POS on standby
A Nigerian picture taker has bemoaned his capture by the police for supposedly taking photographs.
He was supposedly told to pay ₦100,000 for bail and guaranteed the officials had a POS specialist on reserve.
The occurrence was shared through a progression of posts on his page by means of the well known web-based entertainment stage, X (previously Twitter).
As per his record, he was taking road photos when he was suddenly captured by the police.
He uncovered that he was kept in a cell and requested to pay ₦100,000 for his delivery. “They need ₦100k,” he composed.
In an update, he revealed that he ultimately paid ₦30,000 prior to being delivered. “I paid ₦30k for my opportunity. I’m out at this point! Yet, this is ludicrous,” he added.
The picture taker further uncovered that he met a few others at the station who had likewise been captured for taking photographs.
“While I was in there, I met these folks who had been captured for just taking pictures with their telephones. For reasons unknown, the station has a zero-resistance strategy on cameras,” he composed.
