Police arrest man captured on CCTV stealing phone at eatery
Agents of the Fast Reaction Crew (RRS) from the Lagos State Police Order have secured a man recognized as Ifeanyi Okonkwo after he was caught on the Nearby Circuit TV (CCTV) taking a telephone at a diner on Kafi Road in the Alausa area of Ikeja.
As indicated by a post from the authority X handle of the RRS, the suspect was captured when he got back to the eatery a month after he took the gadget.
“The suspect Ifeanyi Okonkwo, on November 7, 2024, was at the café to buy food yet wound up taking a Samsung A15 portable having a place with another client. Obscure to him, he was caught on CCTV while subtly taking the telephone on the counter.
Not understanding that individuals were keeping watch for him, he was at a similar eatery on fifth December where he was spotted and expeditiously captured by RRS agents close to the scene.”
In the mean time, the agents have recuperated the telephone from the purchaser while the suspect has been charged in court.
