2023: Sanwo-olu’s Deputy, Hamzat May Run For Senate
There are solid sign that the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu may probably run for the 2023 gubernatorial political decision with the officeholder Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Folashade Jaji as running mate.
This followed disclosure that Sanwo-Olu’s Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Kadiri may probably strive for a senatorial seat on the foundation of the All Progressives Congress, (APC).
Day to day Independent assembled that the decision of Jaji as the Deputy Governor is being considered to adjust the orientation condition as well as draw in the full help of womenfolk which shapes the main part of the electors and provide them with a feeling of having a place.
It is educational to take note of that during the past organizations in the state, especially, previous lead representatives Babatunde Fashola and Akinwumi Ambode had female agents.
Hamzat had forever been supposed to have the arrangement of migrating to Epe after the main residency with Sanwo-Olu where he at first planned to campaign for the position of Governor prior to reshaping it to senatorial after power coalition guidance.
In the wake, he was encouraged to migrate to Ifako/Ijaiye and challenge the Lagos West Senatorial region which is empty due to the occupant, Senator Solomon Olamilekan, famously called, Yayi, moving to Ogun West.
Curiously, a lot of hopefuls have begun arising for the West Senatorial District to supplant Yayi. Prominent among then is previous Minister of Defense, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, whose beautiful banners should have been visible at different corners of the locale.
Others are Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Mrs Joke Orelope-Adefulire, and Dr Idiat Adebule, both previous representative lead representatives and previous Commissioner for Transportation, Comrade Kayode Opeifa despite everything counting.
