Umahi’s Sack: We’re Waiting For Court Documents To Take Actions – INEC
The Independent National Electoral Commission has said it would make a move against expelled Ebonyi state lead representative David Umahi when it gets records from the decision court.
On Tuesday, Mr Umahi was eliminated as state lead representative by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The court said Mr Umahi had relinquished his governorship when he deserted from the PDP to join the decision All Progressives Congress last year.
“The Commission has not been presented with a duplicate of the said judgment. The Commission will meet and take a choice when it is presented with a Certified True Copy of the judgment,” Mr Okoye said to Peoples Gazette when gone after explanation.
Equity Inyang Ekwo requested the appointive body to quit perceiving Mr Umahi and his delegate and that the Peoples Democratic Party send names to INEC to supplant the lead representative and appointee.
The new improvement comes hours after the resistance PDP asked INEC to give declarations of return to Iduma Igariwey and Fred Udogwu as the new lead representative and appointee for Ebonyi.
The party said the appointive office ought to affirm to fill in as delegate lead representative forthwith, as per a short assertion delivered by its media division on Tuesday evening.
The Gazette announced before that Mr Umahi has not uncovered any designs to pursue the judgment, just promising to oppose the decision and stay in office until the following year when his residency slips by.
