Ralf Rangnick will be in the stands for Manchester United’s game vs Arsenal today after receiving his visa. His first match in charge will be vs. Crystal Palace on Sunday, per Simon Stone
The German, 63, was finally confirmed as the new interim manager of the Red Devils earlier this week.
He will perform that role until the end of the season before then beginning work as a consultant for the club.
SunSport revealed today that Rangnick has arrived in the UK and will be allowed into the Old Trafford stands providing he continues to test negative for Covid.
However he does not yet have the work permit required to take up his post as interim manager of United, which leaves caretaker Michael Carrick still in the dug-out to take on the Gunners.
Now the Daily Star’s Jeremy Cross has claimed he will be in attendance for the Premier League showdown at the Theatre of Dreams.
However, as we reported, United and his new employers are sweating over his work permit will be through in time for Sunday’s home game with Crystal Palace.
Due to his lack of recent coaching experience, Rangnick must go before an FA panel to obtain the necessary visa to work in the Premier League.
