UK granted 300,000 new visas to Nigerians in the last couple of years — British High Commissioner to Nigeria
The Assembled Realm has conceded roughly 300,000 new visas to Nigerians over the recent years, as indicated by Richard Montgomery, the English High Chief to Nigeria.
Talking on Monday, December 9, during an appearance on Stations TV’s Dawn Day to day, Montgomery invalidated claims that the UK’s migration arrangements are excessively unforgiving, stressing that Nigeria has fundamentally profited from the UK’s visa system.
“I need to challenge this image in light of the fact that the UK over the most recent few years has conceded around 300,000 new visas to Nigerians which far surpasses some other visas of relationship which Nigeria has with some other country,” he said.
Montgomery credited the positive visa patterns to the post-Brexit relocation rules, under which Nigeria has been a key recipient. “The patterns have been truly certain post-Brexit. Nigeria has been a significant recipient of the post-Brexit relocation visa rules,” he noted.
The High Chief commended the commitments of Nigerians living and working in the UK, especially their job in basic areas.
“What’s more, on the off chance that you check out, say, the quantity of individuals getting work visas in the UK, these individuals assume an extraordinarily significant part in specific areas, especially our social consideration area,” Montgomery said.
