Pastor Odumeje slams FG for celebrating repairs carried out on Onitsha Overhead Bridge

Famous South East clergyman, Prophet Chukwuemeka Cyril Ohanaemere aka Odumeje, has blasted the Tinubu-led administration for celebrating the recent repairs carried out on the Onitsha Overhead Bridge.

The Federal government recently completed structural rehabilitation paintings on the primary Niger Bridge (Onitsha Bridge Head) after an emergency shutdown.

The bridge was temporarily closed to traffic on September 7, 2026, after vandals significantly broken crucial structural additives, together with steel bolts, nuts, and specialised enlargement joints. The bridge was once reopened on September 24.

speaking in his church these days, Odumeje said

“If I see any of you at Onitsha Head Bridge celebrating that you maintained a Nineteen Fifties bridge for the South-East, Holy Ghost will kpaiii you there. This united states of america has no judgment of right and wrong. in case you see the method the government is showing this bridge everywhere at the net, you may assume it’s miles a newly constructed bridge, barring understanding that it’s miles a bridge built years in the past. imagine a person celebrating his automobile that he parked for over 50 years after repainting it.”
